So true! Meaning attribution is a complex phenomenon. When deciphering discomfort, I think most of us go for the highest profile stressor first. It probably makes the most sense to start our interrogation with the lesser torments like sleep, diet, and allergy, and work slowly toward the bigger issues like family, vocation, or serious disease.
It's multidimensional! To catch cancer (or "this job is killing me" or whatever) early is so valuable! But if you always go for "change my entire life situation" in response to pain you can't build anything that requires patience and persistence. Maybe wisdom is just intuitively thinking/feeling your way through several dimensions of input and once, and feeding forward to good next steps from whatever position you find yourself in.
